When making a resolution request on Meu Guru, your personal data - provided at the time of your registration - is protected and is not displayed to any of the platform's users, that is, your information is not displayed to the other side of the site's users, the platform's gurus (tutors).

The following are understood as personal data arising from the creation of the account:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • University (optional)
  • IP address

We process and protect this personal data for the following purposes:

  1. To allow you to use My Guru;
  2. To recommend content that may be of interest to you when creating your account, based on information you provide during onboarding (such as university);
  3. To facilitate your service through our official support via WhatsApp (click here) and our other interaction channels.

The legal basis for processing your personal data for purpose (1) is the performance of a contract with you (the use of Meu Guru). With regard to purposes (2) and (3), we rely on a legitimate interest to keep you informed of updates via, for example, your dashboard, email or WhatsApp, to analyze the use of Meu Guru and to improve our service for users.

1.2 Placing an order

Likewise, when making a service request, none of the information from the registration is shared - the student, therefore, remains an anonymous user. Regarding the information and materials attached to the request, due to the student's consent and the need to send them, such as the dates indicated, comments made and files in different formats (pdf, doc, dwg, jpeg, png etc.), these are available for the gurus (tutors) to analyze and make their proposals for resolving them. Therefore, since it is subject to the user's subjectivity, any data shared is their responsibility.

1.3 Notifications by WhatsApp, email and marketing emails

We send emails and messages to users who have created an account. This includes the following types:

  • Notifications resulting from your use of the platform (registration, sending of orders, receipt of proposals, payment made, delivery of resolution and actions as a subscriber);
  • Updates related to the area of education in Brazil and around the world;
  • Tips and offers based on your use of My Guru, for example, new study tools;
  • Updates on new features or important changes to the website.

The following personal data are processed for this purpose:

  • University (when informed)
  • Subject requested in order

Sharing data is subject to automatic cancellation of the order, invalidation of the refund and even cancellation of the registration on the platform.
  • Ask a clear and detailed question: When posting a request on My Guru, make sure to provide complete and relevant information about the problem that needs to be solved. This will help the gurus understand your need and provide the best possible assistance.
  • Set realistic deadlines and budget: When setting a deadline for the response and an initial price for the request, be realistic about the time needed for the solution and the fair value to be paid for the service.
  • Review guru proposals: After posting your request, you will receive proposals from interested gurus. Carefully review each proposal, taking into account the proposal value, reputation and reviews of the gurus, and choose the one that best meets your needs.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully: When interacting with your selected tutor, maintain clear and respectful communication. Provide additional information if necessary and clarify any questions so that the tutor can help you efficiently.
  • Respect the rights of gurus: Gurus also have rights regarding their personal data. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of these professionals, avoiding the misuse or unauthorized disclosure of their personal information.
  • Rate the guru's work: After receiving feedback from the guru, rate the quality of the work done. This will help other clients make informed decisions when choosing a tutor and will also provide valuable feedback to the tutor.

6. Warranties

The platform offers some guarantees to its customers, such as:

Adjustment guarantee: If you identify any inconsistency, the chat will be available 48 hours after the delivery time for conversation between you and your guru.

Satisfaction guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the service provided by the guru, you can request adjustments and corrections within 7 days after delivery of the work.

Security guarantee: The platform has security measures to protect the information of clients and tutors, guaranteeing the anonymity of the student, in addition to having a secure payment system.

Quality assurance: All gurus go through a rigorous selection process and are evaluated by students after completing their work, ensuring the quality of the services provided.

Assertiveness guarantee above 60%: If the resolution obtains an assertiveness lower than 60%, you can open a refund request in support. The guarantee period to open the request is up to 7 days after the order delivery date. Our commitment is in relation to the assertiveness of the delivery made by the guru and not with the grade at the student's educational institution.

Customer support: The platform offers customer support via WhatsApp, email or Instagram to assist customers with any questions or issues that may arise during the service. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.
